P lease allow me to start by saying that TennisBug.com is my labor of love. While I do develop websites for my commercial clients,Tennis Bug is not one of my commercial projects...
I simply love playing Tennis, and ever since I got bit by a "Tennis bug" I eat, sleep and dream Tennis. If you are like me, than this website is for you.
Of course, websites cannot survive in the wast universe of sites without user support that's where YOU come in. It also takes more than love to keep the server running so I am looking for sponsors and hopefully we (me and you) will attract some advertisers to help this site stay alive.
The idea is very simple. Tools on this website will allow for easy networking of pro-players, coaches, teaching pro’s and enthusiast around the world where ever they might be, helping us connect and keep up with one another. Visit our site for the latest updates on everything Tennis and loads of other Tennis related stuff, tournaments and contests.
1 Primary purpose is to promote Tennis as a game and as a sport, worldwide. Although it might not be the top sport in United States according to the recent research this is a growing sport. Internationally, however, Tennis attracts greater audience so let's catch up here in the United States, lets place rackets in the hands of inner city kids and we might just be awarded with next John Mcenroe, Pete Sampras or Jim Courier.

As you might already know, in order to improve your game, one has to play against wide variety of playing stiles and various unique talents (stroke habits). We (I speak of us amateurs) often find ourself playing against that one guy, who we know very well, and while every match against that player is still an extraordinary fun and a challenging match, we, as tennis players, are not improving, since even those balls that you are playing with, know exactly his or her next stroke. So let’s play. I challenge every one of you out there. Bring it on... :)
3 Tertiary purpose: is to form friendships off the court. There are many Social Networking sites out there (My Space, LinkedIn, Orkut, Friendster, Facebook just to name a few...) very few of them are promoting learning and off-line friendships. Sport is one of those unique things in life that transcend race, ethnicity and age and enables us to almost instantly connect with one another even if you don’t speak their language. IMHO sport IS a LANGUAGE, a “body language of the world”. Very influential people are tennis fans too, so you never know who you might square off against, it might just be your next boss.
